Lets take it back…Behringer Digital Pro Mixer DDM4000

OK so over the past few weeks I have been banging on about the new digital stuff that is out there for example BCD3000 from Behringer and most recently M-Audio Xponent.

Well I thought we would talk about a regular mixer that is relatively new out there. It’s the Behringer Digital Pro Mixer DDM4000 DJ mixer. I do like Behringer DJ equipment simply because they are good quality and don’t cost a fortune, perfect equipment for the semi-pro DJ.

I had a little fiddle of the DDM4000 mixer and thought hmmm, this is looking good but lets not get a head of ourselves; looks can trip you up sometimes. So I plugged the bad boy in and started fiddling, my impression of the mixer is this is great. I found that the mixer had lots of features such as a built in digital effects unit. But for me the most impressive part was the LCD display that tells you whats going on and through your mixer, really helpful and saves you from having to remember what number is assigned to what digital effect etc.

Some people worry about the sound quality in Behringer mixers, with the Behringer DDM4000 you don’t need to worry, the highs are high and lowers are low!

All and all this is a great mixer that looks great, has useful feature but most of all cheap and affordable for all the features it carries!

You can pick the DJ controller up for a great price at dolphin music, last time I checked it was discounted at £266.00.

Find Out What We Thought Of the M-Audio Xponent DJ Controller

Well M-Audio has stepped up to the plate again releasing the USB DJ controller M-Audio Torq Xponent. Apart from it looking oh so very pretty…(actually, I like it to a nursery school toy but I love that sort of stuff, especially the pulsing of the lights)… to some up the M-Audio Torq Xponents looks, I love it; thought it’s a smidgen wide but you get used to it.

Next up are the features, as you would expect it has all the normal Dj controls; all we can say about these is that they feel better than the Behringer BCD 3000, not as flimsy but as it is not a real mixer you do feel a slight stand offish with it at first. What I will say about it’s design is that it is a little bigger than you would expect; this might make you think that it’s not for you then…wait… this has it pros, you don’t keep clipping buttons accidentally. You know how you get excited and tend to let your hands do things quicker hence less accurate well having the buttons more spread out means that you don’t hit those bad boys unexpectedly.

Well you know how I don’t like to go on about these things, so, I do think it’s a good controller and you can use it with traktor dj software, which I think is better than the Torq dj software that you get with it.

You can pick the M-Audio Xponent USB DJ Controller up at this this online store; it’s good value and does some good discounts sometimes, they are giving away Traktor with free headphones at the moment!
